Aleijadinho transcends the reasons of Brazilian Baroque that, loaded of irony, enunciating the profane meanings through his iconography.
If that statement was not true, there would at least remain regarding the artists existance in light of the doubt priest Júlio Engrácia, administrator of the Santuário de Congonhas do Campo, in the beginning of the XX century attempt to destroy the works of Aleijadinho.
Against those that denied or still deny his existence, Master Lisboa, Aleijadinho, set up an acrostic.

The initials of the Prophets Abdias, Baruc, Ezequiel, Jonas, Jeremias, Amós, Daniel, Joel, Nahum, Habacuc, Oséias and Isaías spell out the name by which he was known: Aleijadinho.
11 letters would have been sufficient. But the Master chose to use the initials of Jonas and Joel (the "j" tonic has "e" sound), and also the "i" of Isaías, to honor his mother, slave Izabel, property of Manoel Francisco Lisboa, his father.
There are a total of 12 Prophets: 4 Major, 7 Minor and 1 writer, Baruc (Berk-yah), wich means Louvado (Praised) justifying the use of the letter "L" in his name, since there were no Prophets whose name began with that initial.

Aleijadinho was beyond the allegory, of the telluric, and he already walked through the World of the Creation 200, years before science came close to interpreting the Universe.
In this audacity he transgresses with his chisel. He leaves printed in the art the moments and states of his Soul.
To see and to contemplate the messages left by the Master is a conquest without limits of the creative capacity that transcends men's understanding. For those that want to understand or to see his messages it is necessary to do so through one's Soul.
